Tribe has spoken for Rosie

New York Rosie O’Donnell will be the host of the “Survivor: Marquesas” reunion special the night a winner is revealed in the CBS game, taking over Bryant Gumbel’s role.

The final episode of this round of “Survivor” is set for May 19 from New York’s Central Park.

After the two-hour “Survivor” that night, O’Donnell will talk to the entire 16-member cast of the game, which took place on the South Pacific island of Marquesas.

‘Sopranos’ actor pleads guilty

New York Robert Iler, who plays the rebellious, pot-smoking son of a mob boss on HBO’s “The Sopranos,” pleaded guilty Tuesday to mugging two youths and stealing $40.

Iler, 17, admitted to misdemeanor petty larceny in return for a sentence of three years’ probation. Iler was granted youthful offender status, and his record will be sealed.

A co-defendant, Alban Selimaj, 17, entered the same plea.

The two were originally charged with second-degree robbery for the incident last July 4. A conviction on that charge carried a penalty of up to 15 years in prison.

Mel Gibson a class act

Sydney, Australia Mel Gibson went back to stage school Tuesday, to open a new theater he helped pay for.

Gibson, in Sydney promoting his Vietnam War movie “We Were Soldiers,” advised students at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts to “keep your nose to the grindstone and don’t stop dreaming.”

The star of the “Mad Max” films and “Braveheart” graduated from the institute 25 years ago.

“It seems like a heartbeat, but unfortunately the lines on my face tell a different story,” the 46-year-old joked.

Gibson has donated nearly $1 million toward the new theater.

Time to move on

Britney Spears and ‘N Sync’s Justin Timberlake were never married, but the busted-up darlings of teen pop have a community-property problem.

The former couple are not in sync over who gets the $3 million Beverly Hills mansion they bought together in happier times, according to The New York Daily News.

Britney sympathizers say she should get to keep it as small compensation for Justin’s dropping her. But friends of Timberlake say he should have dibs on it, since he saw it first. Neither spent much time in the house, but both are said to be consulting lawyers.

Meanwhile, the ex-“Mickey Mouse Club” members seem to be getting over each other. Justin has moved to New York and hired publicist Ken Sunshine, who does P.R. for Barbra Streisand, Leonardo DiCaprio and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. Britney has been linked with 24-year-old choreographer Brian Friedman, whom she met when he performed with her at the 2000 Grammys. Spears has acquired another attachment as well: She’s taken up smoking Marlboro Lights.
