Matron of honor was Becky Keating. Best man was Nick Schmidt. Bridesmaids were Jennie Doran and Meghann Greene. Groomsmen were Mark Boknecht and Sam Stucky. Natalie Kaufman and Kassidy Kaufman were flower girls. Joel Greene was ring bearer. Tammy Zerger and Randall Schmidt were candlelighters. Stuart Girk, Jeff Wedel and Dustin Stucky were ushers. DeLonna Barnett and Natalie Ralston were musicians.

Special guest of the couple were their grandparents Harold and Reva Goodwin, HR and Geneva Siefker, Harvey and Mary Lou Schmidt, Freeman and Evelyn Miller, and Stella Unruh.

A reception dinner and dance followed the ceremony at the Red Coach Inn, McPherson. Hosts for the reception were Steve and Steph Kaufman, Tim Schmidt and Roxanne Tomlin.

The bride is a graduate of Moundridge High School and Lawrence Beauty Academy, Lawrence. The groom is a graduate of Moundridge High School and Kansas University. He is employed by KONE Inc., Knoxville, Tenn.

Following a Caribbean cruise honeymoon trip, the couple reside at their home in Knoxville, Tenn.

Schlaak-Lafferty

Theresa Schlaak, Lawrence, and Aaron Lafferty, Olathe, were married Sept. 1, 2001, at the Unity Church of Overland Park with the Rev. David Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Brian and Chris Schlaak, DeSoto. The groom is the son of Bill Lafferty, Olathe, and the late Jeanette Lafferty.

Matron of honor was Jamaica Billings. Best man was Bill Richards. Bridesmaids were Casey Reber, Jennifer Longacre and Crystal VanHoutan. Groomsmen were Pat Schlaak, Ron Lafferty and Monte Taylor. Lacey Billings was the flower girl. Connor Manning was the ring bearer. Peggy Manning and Pat Davis were candlelighters.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Holiday Inn in Lenexa.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She is employed as a senior account manager for Premiere Conferencing in Lenexa. The groom is a 1994 graduate of Olathe East High School. He is employed as a senior network administrator for Premiere Conferencing in Lenexa.

The couple reside in Olathe.
