Longtime Santa Fe Trail volleyball coach Susan Averill has announced her resignation, Charger athletic director Brady Anshutz said Thursday.

Averill, among Kansas’ winningest high school coaches, compiled a 711-75 record with three state titles (1990, ’96 and ’99) in 22 years at SFT. Averill will remain in the SFT school district as a physical education teacher.
