Overland Park ? Katie Vormehr, Michelle Garcia, Morgan Matthews, Meredith Mayo and Kelsey Mellard scored for Free State High in a 5-0 girls soccer victory over Shawnee Mission North on Saturday at Shawnee Mission Complex.

Goaltenders Alicia Sellon and Linsey Morningstar combined for the shutout, with Sellon playing in the first half and Morningstar in the second.

Free State had assists by Mayo, Stephanie Miller and Vormehr.

The Firebirds improved to 2-2. They will entertain Olathe East at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
