Doris Jean Bray

Mrs. Bray died Friday, April 5, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Lawrence after an extended illness.

She was born March 5, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Xelpho and Ruby (Pence) Wicker. She had lived in Lawrence for many years.

Mrs. Bray was a homemaker and former member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She married Lee L. Bray on Feb. 20, 1971, in Kansas City, Mo. He died Feb. 15, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Luff and Karen Schmitz, both of Lawrence; a sister, Shirley Barker, Shawnee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, is in charge of arrangements.
