Proud of team
Coach Williams’ Kansas teams won more games (355) in his first 13 years of coaching than any other coach in NCAA history. Before this year Williams’ Kansas teams had won 80 percent of their games. As amazing as that is, the 2002 Jayhawks IMPROVED on this percentage, winning 89 percent of their games.
This great year included an undefeated run through the Big 12 regular season, many exciting, well-played games, honors for players, coaches and the team, and a won-lost record of 33-4, which is the best in Division I in the nation. Yes, better than Duke, UConn, Maryland, Indiana, Cincinnati and Oklahoma. And better than Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona, Illinois, Texas, Stanford, Oregon and all other teams.
This season was truly an outstanding one. Best wishes to the seniors.
My wife and I look forward to seeing our returning players and our newcomers play another season of great Kansas basketball next year.

Lawrence
