Morreale services

She was born Feb. 12, 1906, in Concordia, the daughter of Albert W. and Maude L. (Johnson) Reinhard. She grew up and graduated from school in Independence, Kan.

Ms. Morreale came to Baldwin in the mid-1920s and graduated from Baker University with a degree in English, with an emphasis on speech. She then attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York City. She received a master’s degree in theater from the University of Iowa.

She was active in the Red Cross Hospital at Fort Riley during World War II.

Ms. Morreale taught at Independence, Kan., Grade School and Cherryvale High School before teaching at Bethel College for seven years. She went to work in 1945 as head of the speech and drama department at Baker University, where she worked 27 years until her retirement in 1976.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Baldwin. She was also a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, Tuesday Reading Club, P.E.O. and Kensington Club.

There are no survivors.
