St. Joseph livestock
St. Joseph, Mo. Â Quotations for Monday:
Estimated Receipts: 250. Compared to last week, a light run of slaughter steers and heifers sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Direct fat cattle sales started out lower last week, but feedlots were able to bargain back up to steady money by Friday. This is very unusual, especially for a holiday week and may have caused April futures to open up-the-limit Monday morning. An attractive offering of slaughter cows opened 1.00 to mostly 2.00 higher in active trading. Slaughter bulls sold fully 1.00 higher.
