Online survey seeks Lawrence community’s input on sexual violence

A local group is gathering information “to better understand local risk and protective factors related to sexual violence in Lawrence,” according to a news release.

The LiveWell Sexual Violence Prevention Work Group is asking Lawrence residents ages 18 and older to answer the online survey, available at stacarecenter.org/survey.

The survey should take five to 10 minutes to answer. It asks questions about your neighborhood and how safe you feel there, plus your opinions about various statements. Your name will not be associated with the survey’s findings in any way, according to the website.

The results will be shared with the community after the assessment process concludes in December. They’ll be used to develop “primary prevention strategies to reduce sexual violence and other forms of violence,” according to the release from the Sexual Trauma & Abuse Care Center, which is leading the initiative.
