Parker

Larry and Ethel Parker, Beloit, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends with a reception from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 307 E. Fifth St., Concordia.
The couple were married June 6, 1959 in Osage City.
Larry graduated from Burlingame High School in 1953. From 1958 to 1988, he was a technician at AT&T. From 1990 to 1997, he was technician at Kansas University’s telecommunications department. Ethel graduated from Osage City High School in 1959. She was a homemaker, a food service worker for the Ottawa Catholic School, a baker for KU, and a food service worker and cook manager for the Lawrence public schools.
The couple moved to Beloit in 1997, where they were co-owners of the Banner Restaurant until retirement in 2004.
They have two daughters, Penny Schwagerl, Palmyra, Va., and Pam Westbrook, Papillion, Neb.; two sons, Kimball, Lawrence, and Tim, Concordia; and nine grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.
