Nah, I park uptown the one or two times a year I need to go there.
Happy V-E Day
Nope, I just go down early in the A/M and get out before the town wakes up, thanks there Amyx brothers
No. But apparently they do need sobriety checkpoints.
The first summer (and last) I worked downtown, my car got two door dings and got a nice 2 inch gash from someone keying it.
There should be FREE parking downtown. The increased sales tax / property tax revenue would more than compensate for any net profits the city receives from fines/meters.
Personally, I will not go downtown and plug a meter if I can avoid it.
And don't tell me how many free spaces there are if I just drive around parking lots looking for a spot and constantly look at my watch as not to spend more than 2 hours at any given spot.
Only for happy hour parking for me. I hate having to hike a ways to cocktail time.
I think we should build a garage for the library.
I don't think we should waste money on parking; the city commission has already laid plans to ensure that Lawrence has the worst growth, so the parking shold open up as businesses disappear.
