I get very angry when announcers say that a player on the free throw line never misses one, because you know what is going to happen. I wish the announcers would not say things like that, are they deliberately trying to jinx someone? Holy molie, miss Mollie! I like to look the player in the eye, so to speak,; and tell him that he is going to make the shot. I really believes that helps. Also I tell the opposing team they are going to miss the shot. Seriously, it has worked.
I used to wear the same shirt under my pads when I played back in the day. (Yeah, I washed it in between games).
The problem however with superstitions is when you forget your shirt. Sure, I know superstitions are not real, but you try running through a fullback block without your lucky shirt.....
I don't believe in that stuff. But for fun Ilike to think about rubbing the head of a short bald man for good luck. How did he only miss one? Thanks for nothing Oklahoma State.
Goat sacrifices. Winning or losing, it can't hurt. Except for the goat.
Superstitions, jinxes, hexes, etc... are for suckers.
