they put the $18 million library to a vote and it didn't matter for those of us who didn't want to waste the money on a wasteful project. why should this be any different?
this thing is in the bag. it's already been decided.
The commissioners should put this to a vote. Our taxes are high enough now. We don't need anymore of that or bond money to pay for something that KU wants us to pay for for. If they want a new facility, let them build it through endowment money. Not with Lawrence citizens hard earned money as taxes.
In a civilized manner let YOUR commissioners know!

Yes to a vote!
Put it to a vote--
We don't want to end up like the last issue of SI and be forced to live with one person's personal favorite. I would have voted for Nina Agdal myself.
If there's a Fritzel involved, you know we're getting the shaft.
Putting in on a ballot insures it will pass. Instead, the commissioners need to man up and realize how foolish they are looking and put this issue to bed for two years.
But then what can one expect from leaders who still pay a person to walk around parking lots with a piece of chalk, when meters could do the job.
