number1 — Atmosphere is pretty good so far. The students have shown up in force, and it looks like it will be sold out (remember, that’s not a given in places other than the Fieldhouse). Already we’re getting the “Beat the hell outta KU” chant from one side of the students or the other. And for your second question, I think T-Rob was out there earlier, but I’ll let you know for sure when they come out again.

I think the COY should generally be from the team that exceeds expectations the most. I don’t remember specifically where KSU and TAM were predicted to finish in the pre-season polls for the Big XII but I’ve got to think Turg and Martin’s teams have performed beyond expectations so far.

To be sure, Self is the best coach, but everyone expected us to be where we are, so it’s hard to give him the COY award IMO.

I’d go with Martin.

93-I’d go with Marcus, although thats a cop-out pick in big 12 play, but it’s gonna be a physical battle down low, especially for Cole, so as long as Marcus stays outta foul trouble, I hope he drops about 25

This is a really tough choice that requires a lot of thought. If I really must choose, I’m going with Tyrel’s sister over Texas girl.

Seriously, the only way Frank Martin doesn’t win COY is if the Jayhawks run the table in the Big 12. What Martin’s done is unprecedented, but going 16-0 in the number one rated conference by RPI is special and deserves recognition.

She (he) is in the student section on the baseline toward KU’s bench. She (he) just went up to Self, and the coach pointed at her (him) and had a long laugh.

Is it better for KU if the officials call a close/tight game, or if they let them play? I always say let them play, but I’d like to hear the KU nations thoughts.
