MrPilot — I’ll take a closer look when they come back out. Honestly, I was trying to hunt down a reason for why Robinson was in street clothes, so I wasn’t watching much of the shoot-around.

OK, they’re out shooting layups. The splint doesn’t look to be affecting Marcus too much on layups or dribbling. Actually, it looks more like a heavy tape job than a splint. When I think splint, I think of something bigger and bulkier than what he has on his finger right now. Whatever is on his finger hasn’t stopped him from banging into teammates to get them pumped for the game.

I keep thinking Xavier Henry will have a breakout game and go off on somebody in league play for 30-40 points. Time is running out! What do you think?

Time is running out for Xavier for a performance like that. I did think, though, that his game against Texas was his best of the Big 12 season. Even more than the scoring, I thought he looked tougher out there, banging around for loose balls and offensive rebounds. He was schooled by Damion James early, so I’d say he probably still isn’t the defender that Self might want him to be at this point.

waterboy — Let me start by saying there is no chance that Xavier is here four years. I think there’s very little chance he’s here two years. This year’s draft class is relatively weak, and despite his struggles this year, I haven’t heard any experts indicate that Xavier would drop out of the first round.
