Hello

Tom, can you tell us a little bit about your experience with Corvettes? What kind of car do you own, and how long have you owned it?

Tom Stutz

My experience with Corvettes is limited comparedtomostofthe folks in our club. I, like many Corvette oweners whanted one for years. I bought mine in January of 2001. It is a 2000 convertible, millenium yellow.

What are some of the Corvette Club’s activities, and what kind of special events do you help with? I know you sometimes escort students for Homecoming parades and events like that.

Tom Stutz

According to our constitution one of our main reasons for forming the club was to share the fun of driving our Corvettes . So it states we will plan various outings which we call “Drive and Eat”. We plan at least one “drive and Eat” each month. We also plan several trips to various Corvette shows around the country. Several members are going to Eureka Sprins, AR next weekend. We also have participated in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade for several years. We donate money to charities every other month. I believe we have donated over $2000 since the club was formed in January 2002.

What advice would you offer for someone thinking about buying their first Corvette?

Tom Stutz

Shop around alot, don’t be to quick to buy, there are plenty of Vettes out there. Go on line, check out Corvette Club web sites. Members are always thinking about buying another Vette and will post their current car for sale. There are dealers all over the country that have them, both new and used.
