Chat about KU volleyball with Coach Ray Bechard

From the KU media guide: “Among the winningest coaches at the collegiate volleyball level, Ray Bechard enters his ninth season at Kansas after leading the Jayhawks to three straight NCAA Tournament bids and arguably the best three seasons in the program’s 31-year history. Bechard has taken the Kansas program to new heights since his arrival in Lawrence prior to the 1998 season. The Sunflower State native holds a remarkable all-time coaching record of 854-168 (.836 winning percentage) and has led the Jayhawks to a 138-108 mark over the past eight seasons. Bechard led the Jayhawks to a 15-15 overall record and their third-straight postseason appearance in 2005. Despite a depleted roster due to injuries, KU battled No. 16 UCLA to four games in Los Angeles in the NCAA Tournament First Round.”

It seems like we have a lot of service errors this year. Would you comment on that & some of the steps the team can take to correct it.

In today’s college sports world, football is only for men and volleyball is only for women. Can you comment on the prospects for ever seeing men’s volleyball played at the NCAA level?
