Anti-abortion group making money plea for Kline

Friday, 18 July 2008

Operation Rescue is requesting its supporters make a “sacrificial contribution” to Johnson County District Attorney Phill Kline’s re-election campaign.

In an e-mail, Troy Newman, president of the staunch anti-abortion group, praises Kline’s attempted prosecution of Planned Parenthood of violations of the state’s abortion law. Planned Parenthood has vigorously denied any wrongdoing.

The e-mail provides a link to a website to donate to Kline, which includes a 4-minute plus ad about Kline’s fight against abortion providers.

Kline faces Steve Howe in the Aug. 5 Republican Party primary. The winner will face Democrat Rick Guinn in the November general election.

Austistic children await services

The Kansas Health Institute News Service reports there are 141 autistic children in Kansas on a waiting list for Medicaid-funded services.

Earlier this year, an autism task force requested expansion of Medicaid to cover 100 autistic children, which would have cost $2.5 million.

Dem candidate writing comic strip

Sean Tevis, a Democrat, is getting Internet buzz as he is writing a comic strip about his campaign challenging state Rep. Arlen Siegfreid, R-Olathe.

He claims his 4,000+ donors are more than any other statehouse race.

I'd like to see a dollar amount that shows how much Phill wasted on his personal fantasy.

Send some money to the Westboro Baptist Church too while you're at it.
Fred and Phil need your money to keep up their respective campaigns of intolerance!
    Thank you for your support.

Go Phill! Keeping fighting the fight for those who cannot fight! Democrats have no ideas, they waste their time writing comic strips! Ha!

On another note, what's the deal with taking money from hard-working Kansans to help autistic children? This is not the American way. Giving handouts will only lead autistic people to work less and be a drain on society and worst of all it will be taking a slippery slope step towards socialism. Any Kansan who truly loves America should be voting a straight Republican ticket this November.

I'm a Republican, and I can't stand that crackpot Kline. Republicans are supposed to believe in limited government and keeping the government out of our lives. I'm all for education and doing all we can to find homes for unwed mothers and their babies, but as a Republican, I draw the line at the police-state tactics of totalitarians like Kline. My Republican father and many other Republicans of the Greatest Generation fought and died to preserve our freedoms from totalitarianism in WWII, Phill Kline and others like him spit on the graves of all the patriots who have died protecting our freedoms.

    Well said, HMcMellon.

I can think of a few “sacrificial contributions” I would like Operation Rescue and Phill to make….
