City seeking volunteers to plant flowers in downtown Lawrence

The city is seeking people to help plant spring flowers in downtown Lawrence.

The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department needs 12 to 15 volunteers to plant flowers from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on March 29 throughout downtown, according to a city news release. Volunteers must be at least 16 and can sign up individually or as part of a group.

Volunteers can sign up on the city’s website, lawrenceks.org/lprd/flowerplanting/, or by calling the Parks and Recreation department at 832-3450.
