Two more finalists for vice provost of diversity to visit KU next week

Kansas University has announced the third and fourth finalists for the position of vice provost for diversity, who will visit campus next week to give presentations and take questions from the community.

The finalists are Calvin White, director of the African and African American Studies Program at the University of Arkansas, and Nathan Thomas, founder and consulting partner of Invictus Human Capital Management.

Their interview schedule is:

• 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Alderson Auditorium, Kansas Union: White

• 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Centennial Room, Kansas Union: Thomas

The other two finalists, DeBrenna Agbenyiga of Michigan State University and Gilbert Brown of Missouri State University, visited campus this week.

The group is the second round of finalists for the open job. In June, the same month Fred Rodriguez — who’d held the job since it was created in 2011 — retired from the position, four finalists to replace him were named but none was chosen.
