Topeka ? Bishop Seabury Academy’s Phoebe Grabill was the top qualifier in two individual events and a relay during the preliminary round of the Class 5A-1A state swimming and diving meet on Friday at Hummer Sports Complex.

Grabill was the No. 1 qualifier in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle and swam with Reese Edwards, Elizabeth Padgett and Maddie McCaffery to qualify No. 1 in the 200 medley relay.

Edwards also qualified fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 back. Padgett qualified seventh in the 50 free and 12th in the 100 free. And McCaffery qualified 13th in the 200 IM and eighth in the 100 fly.

Emilie Padgett, Grabill, Edwards and Elizabeth Padgett qualified fourth in the 400 free relay.

The final round will begin at 10:30 this morning.
