Scheduling conflict forces cancellation of Wednesday morning’s Mobile Food Pantry
Ballard Community Services is canceling its Mobile Food Pantry that was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
An accidental scheduling conflict interfered with the pantry, which was set to be at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The mobile food pantry will resume Feb. 16 at the fairgrounds, buildings 1 and 2.
The mobile food pantry allows Douglas County residents access to free produce once a month. Proof of residency within the county is required to pick up the food.
The mobile food pantry will be at the fairgrounds on these dates in 2011: Feb. 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15, July 13, Aug. 24, Sept. 14, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 28.
The regular food pantry will remain open at the Ballard Center.
