Warning issued on robocalls

? Kansans who receive robocalls that do not comply with federal law should contact the state attorney general’s consumer protection division.

Attorney General Steve Six on Tuesday warned political campaign committees that federal law requires all telephone calls using pre-recorded messages to identify who is initiating the call and include a telephone number to reach them.

As the Aug. 3 primary election gets closer, more voters will receive political robocalls.
