Childhood screenings on Tuesday and May 11

Lawrence Early Childhood Special Services provides free developmental screenings for children 3 to 5 years old who live in the Lawrence school district.

Facilitator Rusty Schnur Shelton said the screenings are for parents who are concerned about their preschooler’s walking, talking, hearing, vision, thinking or play skills.

She said interested parents who live in the district can call her at 330-4476 or secretary Edie Boehle at 330-1643 to schedule the screening. Interested parents can also e-mail rschnur@usd497.org or stop by the office to get paperwork at the East Heights Early Childhood Family Center, 1430 Haskell Ave.

Screenings by appointment are being scheduled for Tuesday and May 11 at East Heights.
