Lenexa ? Lawrence High senior Roy Wedge and LHS junior Joseph Springer won their class championships at the Shawnee Mission West cross country invitational Saturday at Shawnee Mission Park.

No team scores were kept, and runners competed only against others in their own classes. Wedge won in 15:47.0, and Springer in 16:42.6. Senior Calvin Morgan and junior Nicolas Shump both claimed second-place finishes.

Zach Andregg finished fourth to lead the LHS sophomores.

The LHS girls were led by senior Shelby Clark (seventh), junior Ava Regan (25th), sophomore Chloe Hay (16th) and freshman Macey Rhoades (33rd).

Next action for the Lions is the Sunflower League meet Saturday at Rim Rock Farm.
