Wedel Enshrined: Former Lawrence High tennis coach Dick Wedel was inducted into the Kansas Coaches Hall of Fame Saturday in Wichita. Wedel coached both boys’ and girls’ teams for 26 years (1979-2005) at LHS. The Lions won two state titles under Wedel — girls in 1989 and boys in 1995.

LG&A Report: Lawrence Gymnastics and Athletics Level 7 team finished third and its Level 8 team fourth at the meet last weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.
