New extension board, officers announced
The Douglas County Extension Council conducted its annual meeting and election of officers and board members on Nov. 30.
Officers for 2010 are: Mark Rainey, chairman; Lanaea Heine, vice-chairwoman; Kristy Wempe-Bellinger, treasurer; and Kathy Sanders Wilson, secretary. Other board members elected were: Rich Barr, Jim Congrove, Paul Groundwater, Craig Shultz and Luke Ulrich.
Herschel Lewis, DVM, was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation for his many years of service, and retiring members Jennifer Mitchell, Bob Rhoton and Mike Wintermantel were presented with Extension Recognition Certificates for their service and dedication.
