Arthritis Walk set for Saturday
The fourth annual Arthritis Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Registration for the 1-mile walk, the 3-mile walk and the dog walk will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The walk is sponsored by the Kansas chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and will be at Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, 1421 Research Park Drive.
The walk is part of a nationwide event to raise money and awareness for arthritis. In Kansas, 575,000 people have doctor-diagnosed arthritis. Nationwide, arthritis is the leading cause of disability.
The walk is free to join, but walkers who raise $100 or more will receive a free T-shirt.
