Ironman Finisher: Katie Rhodes, a 2001 graduate of Free State High who now lives in the Dallas area, completed the 140.6-mile World Championship Ironman on Oct. 11 in Kona, Hawaii. Rhodes completed the grueling course in 12:08:10.

¢Kansas Soccer Academy: U-14 girls win 3-0 behind goals with Nicole Marino, Allix Ice and Tanna Fanshier. U-12 boys win 4-2 as Jake Burdett scores three goals and Garett Cruce one, and 3-0 with Burdett scoring twice and Chas Sedlock once. U-18 girls win 3-2 on goals by Kylie Loneker, Courtney Moore and Caroline Mayhew.

¢Roberts Weekly Winner: Conrad Roberts fired a two-under 70 and won the Jayhawk Golf Club’s weekly tournament Sunday at Alvamar. Runners-up were Jack Schwartz 76 and Van Reichert 77. In net scoring, Pete Whitenight, Drew Walters and Mike Stein shared low honors, each with a 72. Whitenight won a scorecard playoffs.
