Parker leads Haskell women past Waldorf

Forest City, Iowa — Maria Parker had 21 points and six rebounds, and Haskell Indian Nations University defeated Waldorf, 77-63, on Saturday in women’s college basketball.

Justina George added 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals, and Kortney Smith had 14 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals for the Indians.

“This is the kind of effort you like to see from all of the kids,” Haskell coach Phil Homeratha said. “We just played well.”

Haskell (5-3) won its third straight game, all on the road. Haskell defeated Graceland, 73-65, on Friday night.

The Indians will play Ashford on Saturday in Davenport, Iowa.
