Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Burglars struck an apartment late Thursday or early Friday in the 2100 block of West 26th Street, a 16-year-old Lawrence boy told police. More than $8,500 in personal property items were reportedly taken, including a diamond-studded watch, a silver watch and clothing.
¢ Several items were taken between Dec. 18 and Saturday from a residence in the 400 block of West 14th Street, Lawrence police were told. The victims were listed on a report as two Lawrence men, ages 21 and 22. Taken were $800 in cash, a safe, an iPod and electronic gaming equipment. Losses were estimated at nearly $2,000.
