Emergency nurse earns credential

Allison Nichols, a registered nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, recently earned the Certified Emergency Nurse credential, having completed the certification exam administered by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing.

The certification is intended to validate Nichols’ expertise in emergency nursing and assure patients that she is competent and responsible.

Nichols has worked at LMH since 1985, after she had earned a nursing degree at Washburn University. She works as a staff nurse and a relief charge nurse in the Emergency Department.
