Titans’ final frames shoot down Falcons

The Titans and Falcons battled back and forth in a close game Saturday morning before the the Titans exploded for 14 runs combined in the third and fourth innings on their way to a 20-6 victory.

After knocking in a run while grounding out in the first inning, the Titans’ Cy Burghart got the rare opportunity to hit with the bases loaded not once, but twice. Burghart cleared the bases with a three-run double in the third, and plated two more runners with a single in the fourth. Burghardt’s teammates added to the Titans’ two inning onslaught.

Cole Stallard had a two-run single in the third and Austin Saunders drove in two when he singled in the fourth.

Despite the deficit, the Falcons battled in their final plate appearance. Jake Landgrebe hit an RBI single and later scored his team’s sixth and final run when he stole third and advanced home on a wild throw.
