Old home town – 100 years ago today

From the Lawrence Daily World for Nov. 3, 1905: “No building on the university campus has ever been viewed with such nearly universal satisfaction as the new law building. Its location is admirable, there is a fine view of the valley from an ideal location and the impressive structure is 60 feet wide and 120 feet long with classic Greco-Roman architecture. It will be appropriate to have the name of James W. Green on the structure. The law school was established in October of 1878 while Dr. James Marvin was chancellor of the university:”
