Hot and sticky this afternoon

Get set for another sizzler.

“Temperatures are heading into the 90s again today,” said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist. “I think we have a lot of sunshine through Friday afternoon.”

At 8:15 a.m., the temperature was 75 degrees, with mostly clear skies. The temperature was expected to reach a high of 93 by late afternoon, with southerly winds 5 to 10 mph and mostly clear skies. The average high for this date is 86.

“It will be a hot and sticky afternoon,” Schack said. “We’ve been climbing through the 90s all week long.”

More 90-degree heat will continue through the weekend, Schack said. Thursday’s morning low will start out at 70 degrees, with the high reaching 95 by late afternoon.

Friday will be the hottest day of the week. Friday’s low will start at 72, and climb to a high of 96.
