House roll call on proposed constitutional amendment

? The 74-49 vote Wednesday by which the House rejected a proposed constitutional amendment to prevent the courts from closing schools as a remedy in school finance lawsuit.

The measure required a two-thirds majority, or 84 votes.

Of the 83 Republicans, 73 voted “yes,” nine voted “no,” and one was absent.

Of the 42 Democrats, one voted “yes,” 40 voted “no” and one did not vote.
