Elizabeth Cleo Wilson Carliss, Wichita

Mrs. Carliss died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at her home.

She was born Nov. 16, 1908, in Ottawa, the daughter of James and Alneata Wilson. She grew up in Ottawa and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1925. She moved to Kansas City, Mo., returned to Ottawa in 1955, then moved to Wichita in 1995.

Mrs. Carliss worked in domestic service for 35 years. She was a member of Bethany Chapel and Daughters of Jericho, both in Ottawa. She was also a member of North Ash Church of the Nazarene in Wichita.

She married Eddie Carliss Jr., in Kansas City, Kan. He died earlier.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel before the service.

The family suggests memorials to North Ash Church or Bethany Chapel, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa 66067.
