Brandon Costner, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound high school senior basketball forward from East Orange, N.J., had a successful in-home meeting Wednesday with Kansas University coach Bill Self and has finalized plans to visit KU on Sept. 24-25.

“I feel more than comfortable with the playing time at Kansas,” Costner told Shay Wildeboor of rivals.com. “Despite what other people might be saying, Kansas is very much a possibility for me.”

Costner, who will visit North Carolina State this weekend, said KU and N.C. State led UCLA.

Meanwhile, 6-5 Dallas forward C.J. Miles’ flight from Texas to Atlanta was canceled Thursday because of Hurricane Ivan. Miles hopes to fly to Georgia Tech for a visit today. He’s considering KU, Texas and Georgia Tech.
