Iva Bernece Spielman

Mrs. Spielman died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Topeka. She lived in Oskaloosa for more than 40 years.

She was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Perry, the daughter of Fred and Velma Dick Stebbins.

Mrs. Spielman was a 50-year member of Oskaloosa Rebekah Lodge, First Presbyterian Church and Oskaloosa Senior Citizens Group.

She married Robert Spielman on Dec. 21, 1948. He died Dec. 10, 1986.

Survivors include two daughters, Verla Vines, Topeka, and Jolene Wyman, Meridian, Idaho; a son, Jerry Spielman, Lawrence; a sister, Lorraine Baker, Topeka; four brothers, Merle “Bood” Stebbins, Perry, Donald Herb Stebbins and Lyle Stebbins, both of Topeka, and LaVerne “Chick” Stebbins, Oskaloosa; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren;

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
