Melvin Lowell Fabert

? Services for Melvin Lowell Fabert, 85, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Inurnment will be later.

Mr. Fabert died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Midland Hospice House.

He was born June 6, 1918, in De Queen, Ark., the son of Charles William and Vida Hood Fabert.

Mr. Fabert served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He married Zazle Billings on Nov. 16, 1974, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include six sons; James, Arizona, Jerry, Spooner Wis., Dennis, Emporia, Steven, Topeka, Rick Billings, Carbondale, and Bill Billings, Topeka; four daughters, Jan Jones, Peggy Billings and Kathy Pullen, all of Topeka, and Dixie Wells, Hoyt; a brother, Donald, Taylorsville, Utah; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today and until service time Monday at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
