Porcarello-Miller

Noelle Suzanne Porcarello and Warren Lee Miller were married Dec. 31, 2003, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Phoenix with Father John Shetler officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Janet Porcarello, Phoenix, and the late Patrick Porcarello, Prescott Valley, Ariz. The groom is the son of Barbara Roever, Lawrence, and Harlan Miller, Lawrence and Mesa, Ariz. The groom’s grandparents are the late Harlan and Frances Miller.

Maid of honor was Jean Johnson. Best man was Richard Kratzenberg. Bridesmaids were Yvette Guerra, Jamie Moraes, Kristen Stolt, Pamela Kratzenberg, C.J. Mosher and Suzanne Lownes. Groomsmen were Scott Rhodes, James Hannebohm, Kevin Stolt, Patrick Porcarello II, Barry Solberg and Paul Brooks. Ushers were Tom Johnson and Eric Guerra. Flower girl was Montanna Rhodes. Ring bearer was Alexander Drew.

A cocktail and dinner reception was given at the Doubletree Suites Hotel in Phoenix.

The bride is a graduate of Bourgade Catholic High School in Phoenix. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Loyola University, Chicago. She has been employed with Honeywell for the past nine years where she is a proposal manager.

The groom graduated from Lawrence High School. He attended Kansas University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. He is employed with Fibre-Metal Products where he is the western regional sales manager.

The couple took a honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean.

They will reside in Chandler, Ariz.

Wiechert-Novak

Kirstin Nan Wiechert, Denver, and Gerald Francis Novak, Waterville, Maine, were married Feb. 5, 2004, in St. Lucia, West Indies. Kay Jackson, civil status marriage officer, was the officiant at the outdoor wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Allen and Sandra Wiechert, Lawrence. She attended Lawrence schools, graduating from Lawrence High School in 1986. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990 where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She is the owner and art director of GAMUT Creative Inc. in Denver.

The groom is the son of Mildred Novak, Milwaukee, and the late Frank Novak. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in economics, followed by a master’s degree in business administration. He is the director of supply chain management for Lohmann Animal Health, International in Waterville, Maine.

After their wedding and honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple played host to a large family wedding dinner at McCormick’s Fish House in the Oxford Hotel, downtown Denver. The bride’s sister and brother-in-law, David and Megan Wiechert Alden, also of Denver, played host to a champagne brunch for the couple and their families.

The couple reside in Oakland, Maine.

Wedel-Bonner

Sara H. Wedel and Wesley W. Bonner were married Oct. 11, 2003, at Danforth Chapel with Lauralyn Bodle officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Leslie and Carolyn Hochstetler, Wellman, Iowa. The groom is the son of Orville and Jean Bonner, Lawrence.

Pamela Gibbs was maid of honor. Vince Bonner was best man. Josh Wedel and Daylen Bonner were candle lighters. Bruce Hochstetler and Boni Butel were readers. Musicians were Lorri O’Doniel, Patrick Kelly, Mark and Stephanie Robinson, Carolyn Welch and William Eash.

A reception was given at the Union Pacific Depot. The Cats provided musical entertainment.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Thompson-McGee

Sharilyn L. Thompson, Lawrence, and Lenard S. McGee, Kansas City, Kan., were married Feb. 14, 2004, at Praise Temple Church of God in Christ in Lawrence.

The bride is the daughter of Marilyn Thompson, Kansas City, Kan. The groom is the son of James and Deloris Henderson, Rentiville, Okla.

Matron of honor was Marsha Lyles. Bridesmaids were Jolece Eldridge and Glynda Eldridge. Best man was James Henderson.

A reception was given Feb. 15 in Kansas City, Kan.

The bride is pursuing a degree at Washburn University. The groom works in construction.
