Fern I. Johnson

Mrs. Johnson died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.

She was born Aug. 9, 1916, in Lawrence, the daughter of Frank H. and Minnie I. (Elder) Liggett. She graduated from Lawrence High School and was a member of First Christian Church. She moved from Lawrence to Wichita in 1955.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and retired proofreader for Duke Printing Co. She was a member of the Craftettes, the auxiliary to the Graphic Communication International Union. She attended Westside Christian Church in Wichita.

Her husband, Harold “Bus” Johnson, died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ledbetter, Wichita; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation was Sunday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Kansas Humane Society, American Heart Assn. or American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary, 12100 E. 13th St., Wichita 67206-2828.
