Eunice T. Hoover

Ottawa ? Services for Eunice T. Hoover, 104, Ottawa, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa. Private burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Hoover died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Ottawa Retirement Village.

She was born March 2, 1898, in Ottawa, the daughter of Elmer D. and Alice Rebecca (Holmes) Gillette. A lifelong resident of Ottawa, she attended Ottawa schools and Ottawa University Academy.

Mrs. Hoover was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, Dorcas Circle, Sunshine Sunday school class and Oasis Club. She was a Red Cross Grey Lady volunteer at Ransom Memorial Hospital for many years.

She married Alva J. Hoover on April 5, 1919, in Ottawa. He died Nov. 19, 1981.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Hoover, Lakeview, Ark., and Herbert Hoover, Los Angeles; a sister, Genevieve Gillette; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
