Watson-Johnston

Kurt and Sue Watson, Wichita, formerly of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Kelly Anne Watson to Fletcher Clark Johnston, both of Dallas.

The future bride received a bachelor of science degree in education from Kansas University. She is a teacher with Plano Independent school district.

The future groom is the son of R. Clark Johnston, Marengo, Iowa, and Sandra Fletcher, Fort Worth, Texas. He received a bachelor of business administration in finance and accounting from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. He received a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. He is a corporate attorney with Haynes and Boone, L.L.P.

The couple plan a June 28 wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church in Wichita.

McCullough-North

Jessica Ruth McCullough and Aaron Michael North, both of Minneapolis, Minn., announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Vicki and Charlie Wheeler, Topeka, and Steve and Stevana McCullough, Kansas City, Mo. She is a 1994 Topeka High School graduate. She received a bachelor of arts degree in history from North Carolina State University. She is employed at Midwest Pension & Profit Sharing Services Inc. in downtown Minneapolis.

The future groom is the son of Jim and Dawn North, Overland Park. He is a 1993 graduate of St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Ill. He received a bachelor of arts degree in English from Kansas University in 1997. He is a graduate student studying public policy and analysis at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute.

The couple plan a June 14 wedding at the First Christian Church in Lawrence.

Pearson-Schulze

Dan and Donna Pearson, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Leigh Pearson, Lawrence, to Ryan Joseph Schulze, Lawrence, son of Donald and Susan Schulze, Dakota Dunes, S.D.

The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Free State High School. She plans to graduate in May with a degree in sports science from Kansas University. She will begin graduate school in physical therapy this summer.

The future groom is a 1998 graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester Hills, Mich. He plans to graduate in May with a degree in microbiology from KU. He will pursue a doctorate in molecular biology.

The couple plan an Aug. 9 wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.

Furman-Reuter

Staci Leigh Furman, Lawrence, and Bradley Stephen Reuter, Shawnee, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Ron Furman and Janice Horsch, both of Wellington. Grandparents are Danny and Betty Lucas, Lawrence; Ruby Furman, Wellington, and the late Jim Furman. She is a 1997 graduate of Wellington High School and a 2001 graduate of Kansas University. She teaches fourth grade at Good Shepherd Catholic School in Shawnee.

The future groom is the son of Frank and Cheryl Reuter, Pilot Grove, Mo. He is the grandson of Earl and Trudy Twenter and Ralph and Levina Reuter, all of Pilot Grove, Mo. He is a 1996 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Overland Park, and a 2001 graduate of Kansas University. He is a civil engineer with Bird Engineers of Shawnee.

The couple plan a Feb. 22 wedding at St. Lawrence Catholic Chapel on KU’s campus.

Moses-Bertels

Natasha Anne Moses, Eudora, and Wesley Coe Bertels, Winchester, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Jim Moses, Eudora, and Sheila Moses, Topeka. She is a graduate of Eudora High School. She is employed by US Bank in Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of Ken Bertels, Valley Falls, and Marvel Bertels, Winchester. He is a graduate of Jefferson County North High School. He is employed by Brown Construction Co. in Kansas City.

The future bride is the daughter of William and Sandra Shores, Lecompton. She is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attends Johnson County Community College.

The future groom is the son of David and Teri Davenport, Lawrence. He is a 2000 graduate of LHS. He attends Johnson County Community College and is employed as a desk clerk at the Quality Inn in Lawrence.

The couple plan an April 26 wedding at First Christian Church in Lawrence.

Loveland-Brown

Meredith Loveland and Erik Brown, both of Cincinnati, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of G. Charles and Mary Loveland, Lawrence. She is a 1991 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and history from Boston University in 1995. She earned a master’s degree in English literature in 1998 from Indiana University. She is a teacher for The Seven Hills School in Cincinnati and is a teacher and trainer for The Princeton Review.

The future groom is the son of Thomas H. and Patricia Brown, Cincinnati. He is a 1986 graduate of Cincinnati Country Day School and a 1990 graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. He is the owner of Brownstone Design Inc.

The couple plan an Oct. 11 wedding.
