Marilyn Marlene Neiswender

? Services for Marilyn Marlene Neiswender, 71, Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grantville Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.

Mrs. Neiswender died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at her home.

She was born April 14, 1931, in Havensville, the daughter of Claude C. and Edna (Roberson) Reed. She had lived in Havensville, Willard and Maple Hill before moving to Topeka in 1937. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1949.

Mrs. Neiswender worked for Pelletiers Office, Jane Lee Store, Hallmark and National Reserve Life Insurance Co. She was an accounting cashier in the wholesale operations division of Goodyear Rubber Co. She retired in May 1986.

She was a secretary for Topeka Moose Lodge No. 555 from 1987 to 1991 and a member of Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1091, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 1 and Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650.

She married Duane A. Neiswender on June 4, 1949, in Topeka. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Cynthia A. Slocum, Lawrence, and Patricia K. Mohney, Meriden; two sons, Michael D. Neiswender, Benton, and David K. Neiswender, Topeka; a brother, Myron M. Reed, Belleville; and nine grandchildren.

Two daughters, Sherrilyn S. Neiswender and Linda K. Neiswender, and a granddaughter died earlier.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
