George David Blair

? Services for George David Blair, 77, Fort Dodge, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. Burial with military honors will be in Great Bend Cemetery.

Mr. Blair died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Fort Dodge Soldiers Home.

He was born March 14, 1925, in Silver Creek, Neb., the son of David Walter and Winniford May (Thorn) Blair. He lived most of his life in Great Bend.

Mr. Blair served in World War II as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a truck driver and oilfield hand with Rice Engineering Co. in Great Bend.

He married Effie Louellen Larkin on Dec. 8, 1948, in St. John. She died Feb. 18, 1996.

Survivors include two sons, Bill R., Norton, and Roger J., Scott City; four daughters, Linda K. Worley, Lawrence, Molly F. Blair and Polly G. Blair, both of Albert, and Stacy J. Tiede, Hoisington; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
