She was born Jan. 20, 1910, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of George and Alice (Chambers) McGoldrick.

Mrs. Burke formerly worked at the Kansas University Student Union. She was a seamstress at Independent Laundry, Lawrence, and at Campbell’s Clothing, Lawrence.

Mrs. Burke was a member of Linwood United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women at the church. She was a former member of the Linwood Grange.

She married John R. Burke. He died in 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Riley, Baldwin; a sister, Minnie Farmer, Overland Park; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Alden-Harrington Chapel, Bonner Springs.
