Call-Well

Amy L. Call and Matthew C. Well were married June 8, 2002, at St. Peter’s Church in Washington, D.C.

The bride is the daughter of David Call, Miami, and Linda Call, Saugus, Mass. The groom is the son of David and Judy Billings and Dr. Michael and Cindy Well, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Pamela Call MacDonald. Best men were Andrew Arensberg and Patrick Himmelberg.

A reception followed at the Monarch Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The bride is from Saugus, Mass., and is a 1995 graduate of Smith College. She is employed as the deputy communications director for the White House’s Budget Office.

The groom is a 1990 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas University in 1994, and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2001. He is employed as the director of public affairs for the American Tort Reform Assn. in Washington, D.C.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to St. Barth’s. They reside in Arlington, Va.

Anderson-Flory

Julie Jo Anderson and Brian Robert Flory, both of Lawrence, were married June 15, 2002, at Washington Creek Church of the Brethren with Stephen Klinedinst officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Carol Anderson, Lawrence, and the late Gary Joe Anderson. The groom is the son of Roger and Teresa Flory, Lawrence.

Loren Anderson was the bride’s escort.

Matron of honor was Jill Wagner. Bridesmaids were Jana Flory and Amy Anderson. Junior bridesmaids were Rachael Enick, Paris Nottingham and Hayley Schwartz.

Best men were Tim Flory and Mark Flory. Justin Anderson was groomsman.

Abbey Edwardson, Callie Enick and Maria Penrod were flower girls. Riley Gentry, Joseph Penord and Clayton Wintermantel were ring bearers.

Ronnie Bruce, Ryan Bruce, Aaron Flory and Jason Worley were ushers. Marni Penrod and Marci Spaw were candlelighters. Musicians were Nickie Taul and Scot Schwartz. Mary Nelle Reeves was reader.

Molly Biggs was the bride’s personal attendant. Brandie Rice was guest book attendant. Wendee Grady and Melanie Edwardson were gift table attendants. Laura Davis and Megan Gentry passed out programs. Hannah Hund, Charley Jo Schwartz, Molly Warren and Carter Wintermantel passed out bubbles.

A reception followed at the home of the groom’s parents in rural Douglas County.

Reception hosts were Phyllis Anderson, Barbara Davis and Carol Taul. Kimberly Davis, Jessica Gentry and Katy Taul served cake.

The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in family studies and human services. She is working on a master’s degree in early childhood special education at KU.

The groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He is employed at Chaney Inc. and attends the United Association Pipefitters School in Kansas City.

The couple reside in rural Douglas County.

Suffron-Clinger

Heather M. Suffron, Lawrence, and Jeffrey E. Clinger, Tonganoxie, were married June 29, 2002, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. H. Sharon Howell, Lawrence, and the Rev. Jay Vetter, Lincoln, Neb., officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Don Suffron and Nancy Kollhoff, both of Topeka. The groom is the son of John and Barb Clinger, Tonganoxie.

Maid of honor was Erin Suffron. Best man was Matt Kluck.

Bridesmaids were Lindsey Voelker, Megan Fausset and Amanda Brian. Groom’s attendants were Dave Joekel, Katie Bolz and Amber Geiger.

Rebekah Clinger was liturgist. Jennie Kleist and Stacey Heishman attended the guest book and gift table. Brock Wurl, Aaron Duncan, Dustin Bartley and Brett Ritter were ushers. Greg Hildenbrand, Jan Todd and Mitch Todd were musicians. Dan Abrahamson was organist.

A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music in May 2002 from the University of Indianapolis. This fall she will attend the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, Ill., where she is pursuing a master’s degree in music ministry.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Tonganoxie High School and a May 2002 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, Neb. He also will attend Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in the fall. He is pursuing a master of divinity.

The couple reside in Evanston, Ill.
