Mr. and Mrs. Steven Pope and Ms. Daneka Vann, of Lawrence, Kansas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Audrey Michelle Pope, to Justin Tyler Trowbridge, of Baldwin City, Kansas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lary Trowbridge and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Allen.
The future bride received a bachelor of applied science degree in Human Services from Washburn University where she is currently pursuing a masters degree in clinical social work. She is employed at the Wyandot
Mental Health Center in Kansas City, Kansas and coaches girls’ basketball and boys and girls track and field at Lawrence High School.
Her fiancé is an Iraq war veteran, employed as a Corrections Officer in Douglas County. Also employed as a KSHAA basketball official, Justin is pursuing a career in law enforcement.
The couple met in 2007 at a basketball game and live in Lawrence, Kansas. An August 2014 wedding is planned at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lawrence, Kansas.
