Lawrence and Karen Sanders, Eudora, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lynn Sanders, Manhattan, to Shawn Brown, Junction City.
The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Eudora High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Kansas State University in 2008. She is a paraeducator with Manhattan High School, a Mary Kay consultant, and works part time at Riddles Jewelry Store.
The future groom is the son of James and Jill Brown, Crown Point, Ind. He is a 2004 graduate of Crown Point High School and is a sergeant in the 1st Infantry Division. He was deployed to Iraq in August.
The couple plan an Oct. 16, 2010, wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence.
